Sarah Brook Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that was founded in Hollywood in November of 2022. In the summer of 2025, I moved the gallery to the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The gallery currently shares a space with Pio Pico, LA, an experimental gallery and design studio operated by Federico Spadoni.
In all of the various shows I have previously executed, I consistently attempted to primarily promote the work of emergent female artists and to exhibit work that simultaneously had a push-pull quality between aesthetics and other intangible qualities. In this next stage of the gallery’s lineage, there will be a focused intent on community and collaboration. Sharing the space with Pio Pico, LA naturally invites such a synergistic perspective, but after further reflecting on the previous positive experiences that came from collaborating with curators such as Straus Bourque-LaFrance and Keith J. Varadi, it only seems right to continue further down such a path. Moving forward, there will be more blurring of lines between genres and mediums.
Originally coming from a fashion background, I never wanted to be intimidated or fearful walking into an art gallery, and I never want to do anything that makes anyone else feel that way. When you come to my gallery, I want you to feel comfortable, I want you to feel at home.
